We provide Wellington IT support and services for residential clients and businesses across Wellington City, Lower Hutt, Upper Hutt, Porirua, and the Kāpiti Coast. Our consultants travel to you; there is no walk-in office and no call centre. We are a mobile-first operation built on the belief that the right technician with the right skills should arrive at your door, not whoever happens to be free.

IT NEAR U is a New Zealand-owned company founded in 2022. We serve homeowners, seniors, work-from-home professionals, startups, and small-to-medium businesses. Our three service pillars are home and mobile tech support, business IT consulting, and managed IT services. Every job comes with a written report and an itemised invoice. We match consultants to jobs by skill, build long-term client relationships, and keep staff turnover low so you deal with familiar faces.

Where we came from

IT NEAR U LIMITED was founded on 2 March 2022 by Craven Coetzee, a career IT professional with more than three decades of hands-on international ICT experience. Before establishing IT NEAR U, Craven founded and operated Kondura Technologies CC in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, for over two decades; a company where he held roles spanning business management, systems analysis, network engineering, ICT consulting, and database programming. He moved to New Zealand in 2019, secured residency in January 2022, and launched IT NEARU just weeks later. The company has grown almost entirely through client referrals and word-of-mouth, with minimal advertising spend.

A Local IT Support Company Built on Real Experience

We are a Wellington-based, New Zealand-owned IT company. Our senior team members bring over 30 years of real-world experience across legal, accounting, retail, manufacturing, and small business sectors. We are a Microsoft Business Partner and Cloud Reseller, an N-able Cove Data Protection Partner, and an ESET Internet Security Authorised Installer and Reseller. All staff operate under strict non-disclosure and confidentiality commitments, and we maintain meticulous documentation in an encrypted knowledge base.

Our service model is mobile-first. Consultants travel to client premises in fully stocked vehicles across the Greater Wellington Region. We do not operate a walk-in office. Remote support sessions are also available for eligible work, and we collect devices offsite when that is the more efficient option.
