PARAMOUNT PLUMBING & GAS

At Paramount Plumbing & Gas, we provide plumbing, gas fitting and drainage services for homes, businesses and rental properties across the Wellington region. We’re locally owned and work throughout Wellington City, Lower Hutt, Upper Hutt and Porirua, handling everyday repairs, urgent faults and larger installations.

Our owner brings more than 20 years’ experience in plumbing and gas fitting. Our qualified tradespeople hold registration with the Plumbers, Gasfitters and Drainlayers Board and complete regular professional development. We combine an owner-operated service with the skills to manage plumbing, gas fitting and drainage work.

We keep communication clear. We commit to honest dealings, orderly billing and leaving properties clean, secure and safe after completing our work. Our police-vetted staff provide added reassurance when you cannot be home during an appointment.

We back our workmanship. If a problem arises because of our workmanship within 24 months, we’ll fix it free of charge under our extended maintenance guarantee.

We repair leaking taps, running toilets and low water pressure problems in residential and commercial properties. For burst pipes, blocked toilets and sudden hot water failures, we also offer 24/7 emergency plumbing.

Our hot water services cover repairs, replacements and new installations. We install and service Rinnai INFINITY continuous-flow units and work with electric cylinders, gas storage heaters and hot water heat pumps. We consider household demand and the existing system when discussing suitable options.

Intermittent faults need investigation. During a hot water job in Lyall Bay, the household’s gas unit worked normally when we arrived, but servicing revealed corrosion on the controller connections and heat exchanger. We showed the owners the damage and explained their repair and replacement options. A fault disappearing during an appointment does not mean the underlying problem has gone.

Our gas fitting work extends to cooking and heating as well as hot water. We install and service gas hobs, ovens, fires, heaters and boilers, and we also work on central heating systems. We check for leaks and pressure issues, test installations and provide the appropriate gas certification.

For blocked drains, we use CCTV cameras to locate obstructions and inspect pipe condition. Our equipment includes high-pressure water jetting and mechanical root-cutting tools. Where an inspection reveals damaged pipework, we can carry out repairs or organise replacement. With recurring blockages, that distinction matters: clearing debris does not repair a cracked or collapsed pipe.

We work with homeowners, builders and architects on plumbing and gas installations for renovations and new builds. Our work includes connecting kitchen and bathroom fixtures, installing hot water systems and coordinating relevant council sign-offs for new-build projects. We offer no-obligation quotes for renovation and new-build work. Our wider services include drain laying, roof repairs and roof replacements.

For landlords and property managers, we handle plumbing maintenance, fixture replacements, drainage faults and hot water upgrades. We coordinate access with tenants, provide job updates and issue completion notes and detailed invoices. This gives property managers a record of the work without needing to attend every property.
